Allie McCreary earned her PhD from NC State University under the co-advisement of Dr. Erin Seekamp and Dr. Smith. Allie's dissertation research focused on tourism-dependent communities' adaptive capacity in relation to climate change. Originally from the St. Louis, MO area (go Cards!), Allie received both her master’s and undergraduate degree from the Forestry Department at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Allie is now an Assistant Professor of Recreation Administration in the School of Kinesiology, Recreation & Sport at Western Kentucky University.
