Allie McCreary earned her PhD from NC State University under the co-advisement of Dr. Erin Seekamp and Dr. Smith. Allie's dissertation research focused on tourism-dependent communities' adaptive capacity in relation to climate change. Originally from the St. Louis, MO area (go Cards!), Allie received both her master’s and undergraduate degree from the Forestry Department at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. In her free time, you can find Allie diligently working on her dissertation and, occasionally, finding time to hike, camp and canoe in the mountains and coasts of beautiful North Carolina.
